Our Services

At Westside Chiropractic, we help people of all ages move, heal, and live better. From our clinic on Plains Road East in Burlington, we offer hands-on, holistic treatments in a relaxed and caring environment, and every treatment and recovery plan is tailored to the person in front of us.

We work with both chronic and acute problems, including back pain, neck discomfort, headaches, pinched nerves, sciatic pain, and joint stiffness. Here is a quick look at what we offer, with links to learn more about each service.

Chiropractic care

Specific, gentle, hands-on adjustments increase mobility and movement in your joints. Our chiropractors, Dr. Emily Maranger and Dr. Cole Maranger, are evidence-based practitioners trained in spinal and extremity adjusting and soft tissue therapies. Massage therapy

Massage therapy improves circulation, relieves muscle tension and pain, and helps the body clear waste. Our registered massage therapist, Jody Maxwell, brings over seven years of experience and is certified in myofascial cupping. Learn more about massage therapy at Westside.

Medical acupuncture

Contemporary medical acupuncture encourages natural healing and can reduce or relieve pain, improve function in the affected area, and improve mood and energy. Both of our chiropractors were certified through the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program during their clinical internships. See our medical acupuncture page for details.

Custom orthotics

Custom orthotics are corrective shoe inserts casted to your feet. For us, orthotics are about understanding the biomechanics that stem from the feet and providing the support your body needs. Find out more about custom orthotics.

Exercise and rehab

Guided exercise and rehab work improves functional activity and strength, helping your body alleviate discomfort and manage pain. Because individual strengths and weaknesses affect recovery, we use what we learn about you to shape your recovery plan. Learn more about exercise and rehab.

Fees, insurance, and direct billing

We offer direct billing through Telus Health, Green Shield Canada, Sunlife, and Medavie Blue Cross. Bring your insurance card to your first appointment and we will add it to your profile. You do not need a referral to see a chiropractor in Ontario, though some insurers ask for a physician referral before they reimburse you. Full pricing details are on our fees and insurance page.

Start with what you are feeling

Sometimes it is easier to start with the problem than the service. If you are dealing with something specific, our conditions we help with pages explain how we approach common issues like back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches, and plantar fasciitis.
