Exercise and Rehab in Burlington

Hands-on treatment is only part of the picture. Exercise and rehab focus on improving functional activity and strength so your body is better able to alleviate discomfort and manage pain. At Westside Chiropractic on Plains Road East in Burlington, that work is part of helping people of all ages move, heal, and live better.

What exercise and rehab looks like here

We take a full history and assess how you move, then explain what we think is going on and talk through your options before we begin treatment. From there, exercise and rehab often work alongside chiropractic care: specific, gentle adjustments to increase mobility in your joints, paired with movements that build strength where you need it.

Exercise and rehab can support care for both chronic and acute issues, including:

  • Back pain
  • Neck discomfort
  • Headaches
  • Pinched nerves
  • Sciatic pain
  • Joint stiffness

Recovery planning that fits you

No two people recover the same way. Your individual strengths and weaknesses affect how recovery goes, and understanding the severity of the underlying condition helps us plan realistically. That is why every treatment and recovery plan here is tailored to the person, not pulled from a template.

A kinesiology lens on how you move

Dr. Cole Maranger holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University, and that background informs how we approach exercise and rehab. Alongside adjustments, we prescribe specific movements to build strength where you need it and support your recovery.

Dr. Cole writes regularly on our blog.

Part of a bigger toolkit

Exercise and rehab often sit alongside the other hands-on, holistic treatments we offer. Depending on what you need, your plan might also include massage therapy with Jody Maxwell, RMT, which improves circulation and relieves muscle tension and pain, or contemporary medical acupuncture, which encourages natural healing and can help reduce or relieve pain. It all happens in a relaxed and caring environment.

Getting started

You do not need a referral to book: chiropractors are primary contact practitioners in Ontario, though some insurers ask for a physician referral for reimbursement. Our clinic at 1401 Plains Road East, Unit 2, has free parking on site, and we work with people from Burlington and Aldershot, plus Waterdown, Hamilton, and Oakville. You can find our rates and direct billing details on the fees and insurance page.

If pain or stiffness is keeping you from moving the way you want to, we would be glad to work on it with you.
