Fees and Insurance

Nobody likes a surprise on a bill. Here is our full price list, so you know exactly what a visit costs before you book at our Burlington clinic. If anything is unclear, just ask. We are happy to walk you through it.

Chiropractic fees

Every treatment and recovery plan is tailored to you. These are our chiropractic fees:

  • Initial assessment and treatment: $115
  • Reassessment or new complaint: $75
  • Regular follow-up visit: $60
  • Adjustment and acupuncture combined session: $85
  • 30-minute appointment: $85

A note on acupuncture: it is not billed as a standalone service. We provide it within your appointment, for example as part of the adjustment and acupuncture combined session.

Massage therapy fees

Massage therapy with Jody Maxwell, RMT is billed by appointment length, and HST is added to massage fees. You can read more about what to expect on our massage therapy page.

  • 30 minutes: $75 plus HST
  • 45 minutes: $100 plus HST
  • 60 minutes: $120 plus HST

Products

  • Custom orthotics casting: $495, and the orthotics themselves are included in that price
  • Medical-grade compression socks (20 to 30 mmHg): $145

If you are curious whether corrective shoe inserts might help you, our custom orthotics page explains how they work.

Direct billing and insurance

We offer direct billing through four insurers: Telus Health, Green Shield Canada, Sunlife, and Medavie Blue Cross. Bring your insurance card to your first visit and we will add it to your profile.

One thing that surprises people: OHIP has not covered routine chiropractic care since 2004. If you have extended health benefits, check what your plan includes for chiropractic and massage therapy so you know where you stand.

Hurt at work or in a car accident?

We are a WSIB-authorized chiropractic clinic, and we also provide care after motor vehicle accidents. Learn more on our WSIB injuries and car accident and whiplash pages, or call us and we will help you get started.

Do you need a referral?

No. Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners in Ontario, so you can book directly with us, no doctor’s note required. One caveat: some insurers want a physician referral before they will reimburse you, so it is worth checking your plan before your first visit.

How much does a chiropractor cost in Ontario?

Fees vary from clinic to clinic, which is why we publish our full price list above. At Westside Chiropractic, an initial assessment and treatment is $115 and a regular follow-up visit is $60. Many extended health plans cover some or all of that, and we direct-bill four insurers, so your out-of-pocket cost is often less than the listed fee.
