At Westside Chiropractic in Burlington, we care for people recovering from workplace injuries, and we can handle the WSIB side so you can focus on getting better.
A WSIB-authorized chiropractic clinic
Westside Chiropractic is a WSIB-authorized chiropractic clinic. If you have been injured on the job, we can assess you, build a plan for your care and recovery, and communicate with WSIB about your treatment and progress as your claim requires. You can come in directly, no referral needed
You do not need a physician referral to see us for a work injury. Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners in Ontario, so you can book an assessment directly. We take a full history and assess how you move, then explain what we think is going on and talk through your options before we begin.
What your care might involve
Every plan is tailored to your injury, your job, and how your body responds. Depending on your assessment, it may include:
- Chiropractic adjustments to help restore mobility and movement in the joints.
- Soft tissue therapy for the muscles and tissues involved in your injury.
- Medical acupuncture, which both of our chiropractors are certified in through McMaster University.
- Exercise and rehab to rebuild strength and help you get back to the activities and work you need to do.
When to seek other care sooner
Most work injuries are mechanical and respond well to care, but some signs need prompt medical attention, for example numbness or weakness that is spreading, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a significant blow to the head. If anything like that comes up in your assessment, we will refer you on right away.
Do I pay for WSIB-approved visits?
For care that is part of an approved WSIB claim, we bill WSIB directly rather than charging you for those visits. If you are unsure whether your situation is covered, give us a call and we will help you understand where you stand before you book.
Were you also in a car accident?
